Academics at HGS work towards evolving a learning process and environment, which empowers the future citizens to become global leaders in the emerging knowledge society. HGS follows assessment system as recommended by the CBSE. The focus is on shaping the young minds, think critically, imbibe the values and impart the same and how to work through problems.

HGS follows these practices:

Practical learning, No rote learning

Practice based learning and improvement requires the resident/fellow investigate and evaluate their care of patients, appraise and assimilate scientific evidence, and to continuously improve patient care based on constant self evaluation and life-long learning.

Project based learning

Project-based learning is a student-centered pedagogy that involves a dynamic classroom approach in which it is believed that students acquire a deeper knowledge through active exploration of real-world challenges and problems.

Activity based learning

One such method is Activity Based Learning (ABL), which is defined as a learning process in which students are constantly engaged. Activity Based Learning is defined as a setup where students actively participate in the learning experience rather than sit as passive listeners

Learn with fun

When teachers use activities that make learning engaging and fun, students are more willing to participate and take risks. Having fun while learning also helps students retain information better because the process is enjoyable and memorable.

Continuous & Systematic monitoring

A Continuous Monitoring System is a tool that continuously measures and records actual data and information from an emissions source. The measured data is often used in real-time to operate the source and also demonstrate compliance with applicable regulations.

Parent communication

When successful communication occurs, parents will become more engaged and involved in class and school wide events. Strong parent-teacher communication improves academic performance in children and provides a great feeling of community.

Educational visits

These tours provide the students with the opportunity of learning through travel, especially to places that they may not otherwise get to visit. Educational trips provide valuable educational opportunities away from the classroom, without using textbooks and other tools which are used in a normal school setting

Value based learning

Gutentor Simple TexValues-based Education is an approach to teaching that works with values. It creates a strong learning environment that enhances academic achievement and develops students’ social and relationship skills that last throughout their lives.

Exhibitions


1 : an act or instance of exhibiting. 2 British : a grant drawn from the funds of a school or university to help maintain a student. 3 : a public showing (as of works of art, objects of manufacture, or athletic skill) a one-man exhibition an exhibition game.

Apart from the regular subjects, for Grade V-VIII the Third Language options provided are- Sanskrit or Gujarati.
